The Motorola i412 is $ 69.99 an inexpensive, feature phone that operates on the average Boost Mobile push to talk (PTT) network. It does no good to stand out from the pack, but it is a decent option for users who need a simple cell phone with PTT capability. However, there are better options out there that are not much more expensive.
Design and call quality
A standard flip phone, the i412 is almost entirely covered with bright blue plastic, except for a matte black band that runs around the perimeter of the phone. It measures 3.8 by 1.9 by 0.8 inches (DRC) and weighs 3.7 ounces.Although it is not a rugged phone, the i412 feels solid. The hinge is sturdy and the interior is made of plastic soft touch black and gray that smells nice and adherent. A thin outer display shows the battery life, date, status of the alarm, and time, but it's a bit awkward. The display is vertical, but the text reads horizontally, so you must hold the phone sideways to read it correctly. Inside, the 1.8-inch LCD screen has a disappointingly low 128-160, by resolution, which looks a bit soft and washed out. The keypad is comfortable, and the navigation and selection a great job.I had no problem making my way through the simple user interface, the telephone, although the multiple menu pages are a disappointment to browse.
